About City

Amsterdam is the capital and most populous municipality of the Netherlands. It is considered an alpha world city by the Globalization and World Cities (Gawks) study group.  The city is located in the province of North Holland in the west of the country. Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ capital, known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city’s 17th-century Golden Age. Its Museum District houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk. Cycling is key to the city’s character, and there are numerous bike paths. Amsterdam was ranked the second best city to live in by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and 12th globally on quality of living for environment and infrastructure by Mercer.

The Amsterdam developed the creation melody entertainers to the city and it has grown-up to converted one of its prime travelling events. Amsterdam has some fetching amazing eating place with croft one or two Michelin stars. These are the unadulterated way to get a full tang of what the metropolis has to offer. We have got copiously of Amsterdam boarding-houses to choose from, whether you want to be in the sentiment of the action, or by the discreet canal. The "Amsterdam" that most visitors experience is the city centre, the semi-circle with Central Station at its apex. It corresponds to the city as it was around 1850. Six major concentric canals ring the Old Centre; the Singel, the Herengracht, the Keizersgracht, the Prinsengracht, the Lijnbaansgracht, and the Singelgracht, together forming the Canal Ring. Other districts inside the city centre are the Jordaan, a former working-class area gone upmarket, and Plantage, a leafy and spacious area known for its zoo and botanical gardens. The roads Nassaukade, Stadhouderskade, and Mauritskade surround the centre and mark the location of the former city moat and fortifications.
